Time for a Shoes from the Past post! Did you know that My Glass Slipper has been selling wedding shoes for more than a decade? We’ve seen a lot of bridal shoes come and go, and now we want to show you some of our past bestsellers.
Earlier this month we shared an Anne Klein bestseller, and today we have another style from the designer label: Grace by Anne Klein. These wedding shoes date back to 2006:
Unlike the popular Neville style, Grace was not a bestseller – it actually prompted Anne Klein to leave the bridal biz. When this style was released in 2006, it was an unconventional design for bridal. Back then, a large flower with a beaded center was not in style for wedding shoes. It’s interesting to us at My Glass Slipper that this elegant design was poorly received because nowadays lavishly decorated wedding shoes are in high demand. If Grace by Anne Klein had been released today, we believe the style would have been a hit.
Unfortunately, Grace and the rest of the wedding shoes in the Anne Klein line were years ahead of their time; only a few made it into production. The weak response to the new styles prompted Anne Klein to discontinue its bridal shoe line.
Unfortunately this style is no longer available, but at MyGlassSlipper.com, we have some current wedding shoes with a similar look:
What do you think of these wedding shoes from the past? Would you wear them today, or do you think they’re outdated? Tell us what you think on our Facebook page! And if you happened to wear these shoes to your wedding, we’d love to hear from you, too.
